Can you not choose a "customized" option in the installer drop down menu,
where you can pick and choose each item individually? A custom install gives
a long list of items (control panels, extensions, apps, etc) and each item
has a checkbox beside it. It can take a while to check and uncheck items
until you install just those things you want, but it's always worked for me
when I just want a few things and not a complete System install.
