Howdy, Sybil -

Main reason I avoid AOL is their reputation for constant dropping of
connections.
I did experienced this first-hand when I was visiting the in-laws and was amazed
at
the frequency of disconnections. Many in just a matter of a few minutes.
Not sure if this has been your experience but that would not sit well with me.
Other aspects of AOL I could perhaps live with.
