I am a bit puzzled by your comments. XPFacto is not so much a work around as the only way to install OSX on an Old World Mac like our UMAX machines. It is also possible to pay Sonnet $30.00 for software from them which may only work with Sonnet and NewerTech G3/4 upgrades. Intech's Hard drive tools work really well with OSX but most people don't need them. Most hard drives SCSI or IDE will work fine when formated with Apples Hard Drive setup. You do need to use the version that comes with Mac OS 9.x and not the one that comes with OSX though it has worked for a few people.There are a couple of really old SCSI drives that won't work and 1 or 2 old ide drives.
