Partly correct, keep in mind that the L2 cache that is being referred to is backside. For the time being excluding Altivec, the G4 has no advantage over a G3 speed wise. Factor in the Altivec (it'll kick #$% over the G3 if you are using AltiVec apps), and better FPU ability of the G4, you'll see a difference. Now, if they brought out a dual (or quad :D yea!) G4 upgrade, I'd be in heaven.
