I dunno about that. Under 10.2 300MHz seems pretty much like 300MHz under OS9. I never realized this until I was watching the Apple Keynote. Here I was tooling around in Safari and email while the Keynote was playing miniaturized in the dock! It didn't skip many frames either. Talk about being floored!
This was on a S900 with XLR8 Carrier G3/300. 384MB RAM.
