I suggest you look at "ramseeker" ( http://www.macseek.com ) . You 
can use the links there to specify exactly the machine you have and 
be shown the appropriate RAM. It will give you comparative prices 
from a variety of vendors. OWC is usually pretty competitive. The 168 
pin 5V 4K FPM is right for a J700. Note that you will want to get a 
*pair* of sticks, so if you want a total of 128 MB more, get two 
64's; or two 128's for a total of 256. They go in "sister" slots (for 
example, in A2 and B2). You have 16 MB on the motherboard, so I 
suspect you actually currently have 80 MB. If you can swing two 128's 
(at about $30 apiece), you would be in good shape.

I am using a PowerLogix G3/500 and really like it. The two XLR8's you 
mention have also been recommended by many. I am still using my 
original Twin Turbo. Unless you have trouble with it or want to do 
some very high end graphics work, I would put off upgrading in that 
department for a while.
