My guess is since you installed it on the iMac, it only installed the
software bits necessary for the devices present in the iMac. This is
probably why it does not show the S900's built-in ethernet. I imagine this
would cause numerous other problems for you as well, since the components
on the iMac and the S900 are significantly different.

Case in point: I installed Mac OS X on my J700 before I put a USB card in
it. I then installed a USB card. The USB card didn't work. When I built my
S900, installed the USB card, and THEN installed Mac OS X, the USB card
worked fine.
