Hi all, I've just discovered that the ATI Displays control panel on my S900 has somehow gone "read-only".
It's fitted with a Sonnet G4/400MHz, ATI Radeon Mac Edition video card, there's bags of memory and it's on OS9.2.2. This problem has just shown itself after installing the October 2002 retail drivers update - of course, it might have happened much earlier. What's happened is that instead of the usual ATI Displays panel, which uses a full icon plane to access all the card's functions, I now have a very plain panel with 3 icons down the left side and some tabbed panels, which only allow me to see some basic information such as the 3D load and current resolution. About the only thing I can switch on or off are some DVD stuff! I've gone back to the Apple Monitors panel for changing res, but ideally I'd like the ATI one back as it was! I've tried re-installing the driver from the CD and had a fiddle or two with the Extensions manager but no go. Any ideas anyone, is this a known problem?
