I've had a Griffin iMic for a while and it's been a necessary addition to my Apple G4 since Apple stupidly decided to discontinue the mic input on many G4 series computers. But checking quickly on Griffin's Support page I found some discouraging news for S900/iMic use, here's a clip from it... ========= " I have a PCI USB card in my older Mac; can I use the iMic? Not as far as we know. Apple says that USB Audio is only supported on machines that have built-in USB ports. A USB card installed in older Macs may support other USB functions, but according to Apple it won't support USB Audio." ========= I haven't tested this theory of the iMic with a USB card not working, so if anyone has had success with such a combo, let us know. I'm hoping Apple is wrong on this one. My S900 is a dedicated mp3 server and only has an ethernet cable and a power cord plugged into it. So it's not easy for me to test the iMic on it, but the next time I update my S900, I'll try it. -Howie -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
