 From one who knows, TCP/IP works rather well over LocalTalk, but you 
are limited to 20k/sec maximum over the entire line, on a good day, it 
averages at 12k/sec. Keep in mind that this is total bandwith, so if 
you have two machines download in some files over the internet, they 
each machine will only get about 6-10k/sec. One machine by itself on 
the LocalTalk line will get the full 12-20k/sec.

I used to run Napster over such a beast.
Oh how I do miss 1999....................
