I tested my s900 (XLR8 G4/400-OS 9.2.2) using System Info in Norton Utilities (I'm sure this isn't the greatest, but it's all I have). I set video to 256 colors, Disk Cache to 128k, turned off Appletalk as suggested.
What surprised me was the score for video. I expected to be way up there compared to other systems, with my new Radeon 7000. My video score was lower than a PM 6100 and not much better than a Performa 6400. What's the deal? I assume this is only a test of 2D? But I still expected to be much faster.
