I don't know much about iomega product, but I prefer an internal over an external. I have an internal ATA/IDE 250 & a SCSI 100 both have performed very well. "Speed" a zip is a zip?
I also have a USB External 250 which performs inconsistently, sometimes I have to "hold the cartridge" in place...I don't like it.
