While awaiting arrival of the DSL modem I've been browsing for information on wireless networking and Mac networking in general. The LinkSys 4-port/wireless router looks interesting because it gives me the option of hardwiring some of the connections and wireless is available later if we're lucky enough to get a powerbook, etc. I hate to admit it but the LinkSys product design is appealing as well....
Some of you have mentioned other brands (Mac friendly) in previous threads but it seems I didn't squirrel away these messages into my archives. Without having to get into anything lengthy perhaps someone could post some links ? (Been perusing xlr8urmac's tech articles and searched macintouch as well as Google.) I'm wanting to avoid running the Verizon CD rom for configuring the DSL connection - most of the details to accomplish this are on hand but a good/comprehensive site that goes over Mac configurations (9.1) would be nice. As a closing note, the S900 will be the only thing on the DSL connection so nothing will be added except making use of the built-in 10-baseT connection. (There is no immediate need for a faster network card at this time.) Thanks for your help ! Alan -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
