Hi Nancy,

That's great news that you were able to figure out the source of your 
problem before you complicated things by sending back your processor.  I 
will file your situation away in my memory banks for future reference. 
 The battery grim reaper could strike any one of our batteries at any 
time.  

My question to the list:  Is there such a software application that 
gives a readout on the status of the pram battery?  Maybe the problem of 
batteries failing occurs so infrequently that there has been no call for 
it.  I'm imagining something like the gauge we have on the dashboard of 
our car that indicates charging or discharging.  I think there is a name 
for that gauge but I can't think of it.
