I have not ventured that far yet. Our Epson 700 printer does have a parallel port. Right now, I have that printer hooked up to the c600 via serial, and the 9600 using a parallel to USB cable. That way, both machines can use it.
Apparently Ford has had great success using the 700, and a parallel cable with GimpPrint and OSX. Perhaps he will share info.
I purchased a Asant� cable modem router (not wireless) and tried to use the parallel port on the router for printing. It worked with my LaserWriter Select 360, but the speed was glacial. I had better results hooking the 360 up to the Printer port on my S900 and installing LaserWriter Bridge (downloadable from Apple -- unsupported, OS 9 or earlier only). So long as the S900 is on, my other machine (Quicksilver G4 running Jaguar) can see it like any other AppleTalk printer, and performance is excellent.
If the printer you have cannot be networked, try Apple's USB printer sharing software if you find the Asant� parallel port to be too slow.
