Thanks to your tip, installing Carbon Lib 1.6 allowed me to launch and configure Eudora 5.12 !! (Under System 9.1). And conveniently it launches IE, which I will use as my main browser. Time to figure out how to migrate all the mail and address book items, although it might be nice to start from scratch and access the old mails as needed using Netscape.
