Not trying to add any confusion but maybe there is an explanation?  Or not.
My OS Software update engine has just informed me (w/o my encouragement)
that there are 'Applescript Updates' in versions 1.6 and 1.8.3 respectively.

Ironically, I have never had the update engine turned on and didn't know it
was on (or installed) until tonight when I got this notification.

Does any of this have any bearing on the search for the respective Carbon
Lib versions?  Probably not, but surely a twist to the mystery (for me
anyhow...)
