It says "this is unrecognized, do you want to format"-type of message? 
Same OS?

I'm not ready to move out my C500 yet, but I wonder if slapping your 
drive in any of the 62xx-style Macs won't mount the drive. Send you one 
for essentially the cost of shipping if interested. Hmm, I think you'd 
still need to find a CS Ethernet for it for transfer unless you swapped 
the CDROM for a CDR ... or got a SCSI hard disk and connected it 
externally and then moved that to the 9500.

It's late, what can I say?
