I think HDST (Hard Disk Speed Tools) may do such a thing but maybe with
a serious warning of potential data loss.
At today's very affordable IDE drive prices, this may be a good
opportunity to add a second HD in the G4.
Then you can offload/partition/repartition, etc. while juggling the data
between the two drives.
