I know that Acard used to make ATA HD controller cards for themselves and for Sonnett that were Mac compatible. I am looking for a card for my UMAX J700 that will control ATA HD and that is OS X compatible with minimal fuss. I heard that Acard cards were OSX (Jaguar) compatible out of the box. Is this true? Now that Jaguar has been out for a while, are there other cards that do as well? What are your recommendations? If you have recommendations for older cards, where can you find them?
