Hello,Hi there
Seem to be having trouble locating a SCSI adaptor. Its for an internal drive that has an 80 pin SCA connector (like a thin centronics), that needs to connect to a 50 way ribbon connector found on most adaptec cards.
Hope someone can help as I am getting blank looks from most I've approached.
Thanks
Greg G
Long time since I've posted here-I finally got a copy of OS 9 and this old J700 back online, sans the bad RAM :-/
You need an 'SCA adapter' for 50 pin cables. This is relatively easy to find at any computer place that has older or recycled stuff. Also any place that sells a lot of SCSI, or services an older Mac clientele. Fry's has them from time to time also, if you live in the western US. The SCA adapter also has jumper pins on it for device ID, term power, LED etc.
Hope this helps
