Hi there: As an experiment (never having done so before) I left my C500 on
in sleep mode all night. It apparently took lessons from my son because it
wouldn't wake up this morning, I had to cmd-cntl-pwr reboot. I tried typing
stuff, I tried moving the mouse repeatedly, I tried the enter key, nothing.
Do I need to try something else or just keep on powering down and up as I
have been for six years?

If you haven't changed the default setting in the Energy Saver control panel, it's normally the space bar that wakes it up. If you have changed the default then you have something amiss.
