I took the plung....and bought the Retail plus 2.0 CD Burner and it works 
with no problem....And works on my iMac in OSX with iTunes with no probs, 
now as to what speed its burning at I don't know.....Come in a not bad 
looking case to boot    =-)   Very!!!! Happy!!!!!
