Would like suggestions as to what would
be a good buy? Bill Smith

Will,

If you are looking for a deal on used equipment try BaucomComputers.com. I
have never seen prices like his anywhere else. If you are thinking about
new...I suggest new/refurbished from SmallDog Electronics. I'd personally
stay away from Dual Processors... My experience with them at work (Graphics
and Video Editing) is that they are really not all that much faster for the
money. A G4/800 would be a sweet machine to own.

That's good advice. If your patient and thrifty, I'd go for a G5. Life is short. Even the low end model G5 is a dream compared to my G3 400 or S900 G4 450. Prices will fall too eventually. You can be the first on your block to get a G5. They're not even in the stores to look at and the backorder list is 10 weeks. That might fall too.
Eric
