Please don't give up just yet and call an 'expert'. I, like some of the others, find it hard to believe that thd ip would limit you to a few versions of the browser. I am using DSL from our local phone service with no router. There has been no problem whatsoever with any connecting software. I am using a Starmax clone with the original 604e. There is an extension called Enternet that I had to install to interface with TCP/IP and Apple's ethernet software. We downloaded it from somewhere (Enternet i guess) and I personally didn't pay for it but the ip may have some deal with them. There should be more help on here for the cost of an email. Keep trying and asking.
