Lookign for a good rplacement Bootable CD-ROM for my c600....Any suggertions?? Seen some reference to a Sony Burnner that was bootable (CRX-140 CDRW) would like one of those if anybody has one kicking around. But even a plain jane one will do or an acutal replacement.

Here's a good deal on the fastest SCSI CDROM player made by Apple. 24 x Apple CD player $29.99 at former list sponsor:
www.poweron.com
It is a direct replacement but likely needs a cd audio cable that is different then the one which came with your machine. This is only needed for playing audio cd's. Computer cd's will work fine including audio. These can be had for $5.-10.00 USA and sometimes less. It needs the same motherboard plug as the installed one has and a plug to fit the Apple CD player.
