Hi Everyone,

I'm about to give up.
I allocated the suggested memory
to IE 5.1.7, (50000 k) and still got the browser
trying to open, then freezing, accompanying
by a disturbing grinding sound, which doesn't
seem to happen when Netscape opens up.

Hi Ruzya,

Maybe I can help, maybe not but I am willing to give it a try. I am a
Mac user for the past 10 years, having started with a Mac 512 to learn
how to use a Mac having inherited my daughters college computer. i am
now a webmaster with 30 domains on my own server and running two Umax S
900's networked together with ethernet cables a router connected to my
cable modem. One of the machines has been upgraded to a G3 and has 500
mb ram, 3 HD's, USB etc. The other is a stock 604 233 mhz unit. I work
with three monitors 19" (res 1280x 1024) 17" (1152x870) and 17"
(800x600). I use Netscape 4.8, IE 5.1.7, Mozilla 1.2.1 also have Opera
6.2 which I don't use at the present.

I write html from scratch and do not use and software programs to write
my web pages. Use Photoshop 5.5, Graphic Converter 4.6 and a ot of other
programs that I taught myself to use.

Enough of the intro lets get to your problem.
Question what OS are you running?

First shut down and pram 6 times
Rebuild the desktop
If you use Apple Talk reset to ethernet etc.
If you have Norton Utilities run it on your HD
See if there any problems.
I looked at your web page in IE Netscape and Mozilla. and I did see
that you have something in your html page at the end of a no show tag
which shows up in Netscape and Mozilla because they are built to
standards. IE is very forgiving on standards and does not show it. The
problem in Mozilla is there is no Flash plug-in for that browser.

If you have ICQ you can reach me at 69647762 if you would like some one
on one help. I live in New York. You can also contact me off line by
email and I will try to get you up and running.

On the question of a Router. It is a unit you can buy at Small Dog or
OWC it connects to the modem output and allows you to connect up to 4 or
more computers to your ISP service and access the internet from all of
them at any time. It also gives you a hardware firewall as well.

I suggest you contact me and maybe I can give you a hands on education
on some of the terminology and solve some of your problems.
