Not seeking comments but just rambling.
Now, Y'all know that you are going to get comments on this list....
Although I have eight sticks of 128mb DIMMs laying around (where are they ?)
When you find them, remove the old RAM and put these in.
and an extra 8mb UltimateRez card,
It might be about the same or just a little better than the one that is in there
it's debatable whether or not I should spend approx $500 to get an IDE card/drive and a processor upgrade of reasonable speed.
Not until you get everything running and stable with what's there.
It would be used mainly as an internet appliance for my wife's e-mail account, hooked up to the DSL router.
In conjunction with the the statement above, it depends if you want you wife to have as good of a computer that you have.
Although I love my S900, it's an entirely different matter spending money on another one.
But, it'd for your wife, right...??? ;-)
What happened to the slower G4 upgrades ?
People that have them are keeping them, and those that made them think that they have moved on to bigger and better processors.
Too many negative reports on the faster (700+) G4 cards.
And they keep rolling in... :(
