We seem to be a friendly bunch...and we definitely are patient (we plod on
with our UMAX gear)
...Just be careful about burned CD's - I have had several non-bootble copies
in my factory 8x CD-ROM. It has made me give up on OS 9. I'm on 8.6 till I
get my nerve up again... good luck!

Good point about making bootable copies. It's not as straight forward as it could be. The good news is once you have a Mac OS on your machine you can install a new Mac OS without booting from the CD. So your CD rom player is not stopping you from installing OS 9.x ;-) Will S
