Hi Brian--

Thanks for responding. Is this update a problem for most of us using unsupported 
machines or is it setup specific. You have Jaguar on an IDE drive and tried installing 
10.2.8 on that drive? If a SCSI drive is used does the problem still occur? Have you 
read any thing about other peoples experiences? I think that some info was flying 
around recently and it passed me by. I think I remember that Will S. said that the 
upgrade to 10.2.8 via the software update app was NG and that he had success with 
downloading directly from Apple. 

The SM list has been very quiet of late- I was hoping for more input. Where is 
everyone?
