I guess the other issue is that some USB 2.0 cards out there are being
stated as only compatible with OSX and not 9.

Has anyone else had this experience with a USB 2.0 card?

Dave

Well as you know i'm not much help with USB 2.0 cards. However I think the issue with OS 9.x is Apple hasn't supplied any USB 2 drivers for OS 9.x . In fact it was very recently that Apple supplied USB 2.0 drivers for OSX. So a USB 2.0 card that works in OSX will generally works as USB 1.1 in OS 9. As far as I can tell there are no USB 2 drivers for OS 9.0. For a long time OrangeMicro was the only company suppling Mac USB 2.0 drivers for OSX. I just checked and they still don't have OS 9 drivers other then 1.1 .
Now that your running OSX some questions may due better at the unsupported OSX lowend Mac list. There are some good people there but not nearly as helpful as this list. Some supermac listers( a handful so far) do show up there from time to time ;-) Will S
