Snip the computer saw it, but said it was "unsupported." I suspect that this is because, if I understand this correctly, this hard drive has no internal termination, but rather, relies on termination from the controller/motherboard. /snip
If you're using the copy of Apple HD SC Setup included in the System 7.5.3 Disk Tools, then it will refuse to work on any drive that isn't Apple-branded. You're not SOL yet though.
