Um. Just recently went back to 9.1 (I wanted my scanner back.) and have a 32 meg sapphire card in there. It behaved strangely until I dragged all the ATI drivers in from the old (9.2.2) system folder. Then things went back to the way they were. It may be all you nee are the drivers.
