Dan, if you can get your hands on teh version 4.1 firmware update, you can just flash the card in a Mac and don't need to mess wtih extracting the resources. I tried what you're doing way back when, and couldn't get it to work properly either. That's why I finally just desoldered the Flash chip, installed the larger capacity one, and flashed it in a Mac. Back then, the latest firmware was 3.1 and it wouldn't flash successfully unless you replaced the chip, but the 4.1 works without hardware modification.

I have the 4.1 Mac Flash update, so I'll give it a try in the Mac. I think I saw your name during my Google search on this topic!
