I am one of the folks who experienced the failure. 45 gb 75-GXP, which was replaced under warranty by IBM with minimal fuss with a newer, larger 60 gb, 60-GXP. I was very pleased with the quietness and performance of the old drive and have been very satisfied with the replacement, which still chugs along. Dispite the total run time limit imposed on the new model, I don't concern myself with this. S900 boots up automatically at 7:30 am every day and is shut down late in the evening.
