I became an owner of a beige G3 DT recently. My first impression was I got
had. IT wan't the fireball I'd always assumed it should be.

Last night I fought for hours over an apparently bad motherboard in my son's
PC, loading and reloading windows, swapping and reswapping components until
I gave up and damnear threw it out in the Desert.

That's when it became clear why I chose Mac.

This G3 has just been clicking along without any of those difficulties. The
REAL epitome of plug-and-play.

BTW, I also have a C500. It had "died" on me for no good reason shortly
after purchase off eBay. I threw the case away, and tossed the motherboard
outside into the Desert. Some months went by. Some rains and winds, too. I
picked up the motherboard one day and planted it into a Mac IIci case with
the C500 power supply I'd thought was dead.

Lo and behold, it came to life again! Now I pull it out on occasion and fire
it up, and IT STILL WORKS. I'm sorry I sold the 240Mhz. CPU I had, now. But,
there's an interesting ending to that C500.
