Well, I don't loathe Norton and used to use it religioulsy up to OS 8.6.
Then I bought DiskWarrior based only on comments I read mainly here and
elsewhere.
Except for the lack of the entertaining defragmenting progress graphics of
Speeddisk, it has served me well.

Nortons gets a bad rap. Many use it on a disk that's close to dead. When the disk dies, Nortons did it.
