My s900 is on os 9.1, I have a tempo 33, which I believe is unsupported in OS X
and a 350G3. So, I need a Sonnet or other card for the IDE , which is the best
at this time, and will my setup run panther?
I just installed an Acard 6280M ATA-133 card and am very happy with it. The Acard works well in the lower four slots of the S900. I may be misremembering, but I do not think that any of the Sonnet cards do except the one (ATA-133 RAID) which is based on the Acard.
The 6280M is available from OWC as the SIIG ATA-133 for the Mac or from getlaptop.com as the Acard 6280M. It's about $2 cheaper with shipping at getlaptop.com, but that UPS Ground and OWC gives something faster in this comparison.
