Thanks to Alan and Nancy for your help. My son, who is very impatient and uses a PC, purchased a Linksys wireless G router. I want a way to connect my S900 using a wireless device. What do I need to purchase? Would the Linksys wet11 adapter solve my problem? Thanks again for your help.

Hi Jack,

I just looked at the Linksys Wireless G Router on Linksys's web site. Routers are pretty platform independent, so you "should" be able to connect your S900. But, I have no experience with Linksys products.

I also looked several of the other Linksys products, as follows:

(1) WMP54G Wireless G PCI card - It does not list any Mac compatibility. You probably already know about the PCI slot issues of your machines, so I will stop there.

(2) WUSB54G Wireless G USB Network Adapter - I have no idea if your machine has a USB PCI card or not. But, this device only lists Windows drivers. And, it looks like it does not have an AC adapter, because it states that it draws its power from the USB connection. Your mileage may vary, but this does not look like a promising device.

(3) WET54G Wireless G Ethernet Bridge - This device is driverless and it specifically states that
it works with a Mac. It also has an AC adapter. (They did mention something about an additional adapter that supplied power through the ethernet line, but I did not look at that item.)

(4) WET11 Wireless B Ethernet Bridge - This device is driverless too and specifically states that it works with a Mac. It also has an AC adapter. I could not find any info about this working with the Wireless G router, so you might have to ask them.

The WET54G Ethernet Bridge sounds like you best bet. However, as I said earlier, I know nothing about Linksys products.

Jack, my suggestion is to do some more research, buy a wireless device from a company that accepts returns, and give it a try. If it does not work you can return it and try a different device.

Nancy
