Dan, Sorry about the limited response in my last message. Most wireless routers are all that you will need. You shouldn't have to purchase an Airport base station if you purchase a wireless router. The problem with different vendors is that some require a PC to configure them. Linksys is one vendor that has recently made some of their hardware PC only. I hope this helps.
