The other day I decided to start-up my J-700 and it did start up however I got the blinking question mark, but no boot-up. I then decided to take my computer apart to clean it since it had never been cleaned. I stripped it down to the point where I removed everything including the mother board from the computer case. After reassembling all the parts, the computer will not start up.Pushing the start-up key on the keyboard or the start-up button on the computer has no effect-the start-up light will not come on. I did replace the battery with a new one and I reset the cuda button on the motherboard. I also replaced the power supply with a new one, yet the computer will not start-up.
I checked all the cables to make sure they were properly seated on the mother board. I am beginning to wonder whether I may have damaged my motherboard by removing it from the computer. I was very careful in doing this. If it is the motherboard, is there any way to test it ? Also, if I had a good power supply, I am wondering why the power supply should not start-up?
Any ideas about this would be appreciated.
