Adrian, I'm not sure what exactly you are asking, but perhaps this helps. By default, PDF files SHOULD open in Preview, not QuickTime. You can change the default app to open a file format by doing the following: 1. Control-click on a file of the type you would like to change. 2. Select "Open with" from the contextual menu and from the resulting added contextual menu, choose "Other" 3. Navigate to the desired application that you wish to use to open your file format. BEFORE you select it, check the box in the bottom left-hand corner labeled: "Always open with" 4. Once you check that box, select the new default application and click the "Open" button. Good Luck.
