My S-900 is working just fine using the built in 10Base-T to connect to a cable modem. Download speed is identical to the Rev. B iMac that shares the connection and has built in 10/100 Ethernet. In fact, the cable modem we have has only a 10Base-T jack itself, as I believe do most DSL "modems". I think that the only reason to add a 10/100 card would be if you have other computers with 10/100 Ethernet, and will be networking them together (through a router with built in 10/100 hub/switch) to share the new internet connection. The faster card won't affect the speed of the internet, but it will make file transfers over the local area network go faster. (I've found that file transfers between the iMac and my PC, both with 10/100, are roughly four or five times faster than file transfers from either the iMac or the PC to the S-900.) Either way, I'm sure you're going to love the fast internet connection. I'd never go back! -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
