G4/450 s900
I know the startup chime is just a little odd thing
that most live with, rather w/out once they have
upgraded to a G anything...
But I thought just in case it really bothers someone
maybe they would like to know how I got mine back!
I bought an internal CDRW recently & first I was
going to take out my original/regular Cd rom
so I took it out. Then I decided no, I did want
to leave it in, so I put it back in, then installed
the internal IDE, CDRW by way of my ATA100.
When I started back up... I got a suprise!
I had the startup chime back!
Can anyone explain how/why that happened?
Anyway, I sure do enjoy hearing that comforting
sound again!

Later, kim :-)
