Hi again.
On a somewhat related note,
I got an Apple CD-ROM (Panasonic 8808, I think) for my
J700 I got the other day.
No matter what I did, it would not boot from any of my
CDs (including one I custom-burned to back up my hard
drive).
In fact, the thing hung anytime I'd boot from it.
Is it the drive or is it the fact that Supermacs won't
boot from an Apple CD? (the guy I bought it from
suggested the latter).

I find that hard to believe, being how I"ve been
reading that people who connect Apple CD-ROM drives to
Supermacs have little to no problem booting from their
CDs.
