You shouldn't have any problems, the newer drives can auto-negotiate 
pretty well. If there is a need to set the drive interface speed, which 
is pretty rare these days, WD (and other mfrs) have a utility to do so.

The downside is that this utility only runs on a PC. Prbably wouldn't 
work under an emulator (VPC), either.
