Quicktime will work if all you need to do is join the clips together with no
transitions. Open up the first clip, then open up the second clip as a
separate movie (you may have to change one of the preferences to do this)
then copy/paste the second clip to the end of the first clip.

iMovie gives you lots more functionality such as titles, transitions, and
effects. Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro give you professional editing
capabilities.
