Disabling Extensions: move all nonApple extensions to the Extensions Disabled folder. One at a time move them back, restarting and running to see if the freeze happens. If you've moved 10 over without problems and the 11th causes a freeze, then you change the sequence so what was extension 11 loads earlier and see what happens. It is a PIA task. You know you have to have the extensions for the G4card to load first. Apple's USB extensions seldom cause problems, but third party USB extensions like drivers for a mouse may. That's why I'd revert to the ADB mouse during troubleshooting, with third party USB mouse extensions disabled until tested. It's all a trial and error process. If my explaination isn't clear perhaps someone else can jump in. An older copy of Mac for Dummies or More Mac for Dummies(pre OSX) from a used bookstore would also be a good guide. Most of the downloads from the MacAddict CD are extensions(mini programs) and must be considered suspect during your trial and error substitutions. The "read me" with most downloads gives warnings pf possible conflicts, but people seldom read or heed them.Paul C
