In the S900 the Bay 7(vertical), just below the CPU reset buttons has provision for a fan. There is a plug for this fan on the motherboard, but you need to remove the CD drive cage to see it. The fan is designed to pull air from the front of the case over the drive in bay 7 and then the air is exhausted by the rear fan. Once I mounted a drive in bay 7 (IBM Deskstar 40gb IDE) the cage holding the fan would not fit over the drive, so it just sits behind it, pulling air into the computer from the front.I would think the set up is similar on the C600 case, as well as the J700.
