What OS are you running? 55MB of ram isn't much, do upgrade this with 
more EDO ram. You could disable the extension for the port expander and 
see if it is causing the problem. OS9.1 contained a TwinTurbo driver, if 
that is what you are running- otherwise version 4.06 was the last TT 
upgrade? It sure sounds like an extension conflict the way you describe it.
